Namibia Events postponed

Due to organizational problems the events in Walvis Bay, Namibia, are postponed to a later period in the year. We are still working on getting them realized but we are definately too late now for September.
We will inform you as soon as a new date has been fixed.

A spectacular event came to an end today with the price giving held directly at the beach in front of the Pro Center Chris Schill. Finian Maynard (BVI) and Valerie Ghibaudo (FRA, Loft Sails) are the world champions 2009.
After 7 rounds of speedsailing action, giving two discards for the fleet from all over the world, Karpathos proved another time to be the perfect venue for high wind windsurfing.

Another bullet for Finian Maynard (BVI) at the 2009 ISWC worlds. He is leading the competition now with a perfect score of 3.5 points after seven races and 2 discards ahead of Antoine Albeau (FRA) with 9.7 points and Anders Bringdal (SWE) with 14 points.
In the womens fleet, Valerie Ghibaudo (FRA, Loft Sails) scored her 8th consecutive victory in this competition and has won the title already before the final day of the competition. Marion Raisi (FRA) is in second with 10 points and Marie-Paule Geldhof (BEL) in third with 16 points.

After six rounds of spectacular speed sailing Finian Maynard (BVI) is still leading the 2009 ISWC Speed Windsurfing World Championship. He is now three points ahead of Antoine Albeau (FRA) in second, with Anders Bringdal (SWE) in third, but already clear below. Bjorn Dunkerbeck (SUI, Starboard, Severne) and Hans Kreisel (NED) complete the Top 5.
Valerie Ghibaudo (FRA, Loft Sails) has won all heats of the womens competition and is ahead of Marion Raisi (FRA) and Marie-Paule Geldhof (BEL).
Tomorrows racing should allow for the second discard, which could mix up the rankings.

Finian Maynard (BVI) seems to be the man to beat at this years Speed Windsurfing World Championship. After three rounds he is in the lead ahead of Antoine Albeau (FRA) and Anders Bringdal (SWE). In the womens fleet, Valerie Ghibaudo (FRA, Loft Sails) leads with three bullets ahead of Marion Raisi (FRA) and Birgit Hofer.
The Pro Center Chris Schill at the beautiful island of Karpathos in Greece prepares for five days of spectacular action. The creme de la creme of Speed Windsurfing has arrived to battle for the 2009 world championship title of the International Speed Windsurfing Class.

The names of the accepted entries for the upcoming ISWC world championship in Karpathos can be found below. We are currently awaiting the remaining organizers wildcards. We will inform the competitors that receive a wildcard in the next couple of days individually.
Due to the big number of interests the number of allowed competitors has already been rised to 60 in total.
Only the riders accepted are allowed to start at this event. We have all others on the waiting list and inform you as soon as a starting place becomes free.
Please inform us immediately if you can not make it to the event so that we can give your starting place to someone else !
