Speed:World:Cup France: Day 3 PDF Print E-mail
Thursday, 03 April 2008
What an incredible day: 60 knots of wind, amazing speeds, upside-down timing caravan. We have rarely seen such a windy race day during competition - an experience that not many can share. Alexandre Caizergues and Charlotte Consorti, both from France, are still dominating the PKRA Speed:World:Cup in Port St. Louis.

Wednesday, 02 April 2008

Epic conditions today in Port St. Louis, with three legs held in 30-40 knots of wind the race committee tested all skills of the riders, technical as well as physical.

Alex Caizergues was the man of the day, with three bullets clearly in the lead now. In the womens fleet, Charlotte Consorti has also a perfect score with 4 out of 5 victories.

The kick off event for the 2008 Kitespeed season couln'd have been better. Two races were held today in good speedsailing conditions, and a lot more is to come during the week.

We have been under heavy DoS attack from somewhere in the internet yesterday, so sorry for being down for a while. We could recover this morning from this attack, but several services were still affected during the day.

We will extend the registration period for the ISWC membership at least until mid of this month, and publish bank account details later on (beginning of next week, after the end of the Kitespeed:World:Cup). Stay tuned with us !

Sorry guys, we fooled you... with www.windsurfjournal.com:

Thanks to our collaborators !
We’d like to thank all our collaborators, which means Antoine Albeau, David Garrel and Pascal Maka for having agreed to play the game, not forgetting Alain Montauzou from Auto-Vital Guillaume IR10 and Paquitomicorazon (for the buzz on French forums), Markus Schwendtner, top man from the Speed World Cup and the Speedworldcup.com website, and not forgetting either the communications chain necessary to create this kind of April Fool’s joke, Mathieu Hurier from U-ride.net and Steve Palier from the Welcomebeach.blogspot.com, the very real bar (honestly, this is not a joke) in Six-Fours (south of France) that is opening up specially for this April 1st…

Kitespeed World Cup kicks off today in PSL PDF Print E-mail
Saturday, 29 March 2008

We will have qualification trials from today until Monday, it looks like there will be no wind today and onshore tomorrow... but for the rest of the week it looks excellent !

We will try to establish a livecast for the main event beginning starting from next week, but we experienced bad 3G availability on the speed beach. Hope it works well then. Stay tuned to follow the action with us !

French Cup 2008: Final Report PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 28 March 2008
psl_jochen.jpgIt was a good week for the first French Cup for Speed Windsurfing, held from 22.03.-28.03. in Port St. Louis du Rhone.

Cyril Moussilmani (Fanatic, North) won the event after 6 rounds, of which 5 were validated by the rules. The womens fleet was clearly dominated by Valerie Ghibaudo (Loft Sails).

The event started windy from the first day, the race committee around organizer Jochen Krauth, former world champion, was on spot from the first minute. Due to the weather conditions, the riders were only send out for two rounds a day, temperatures below 10 degree did not allow for more.
