Speed Europeans Postponed PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 09 October 2009

Due to the bad longterm forecast for the first period of the European Speed Championchips, the classes IKA and ISWC in conjunction with the local organizer decided to postpone the event. The next chance for a start is the first week of November.

There was only a slight chance to get wind from the right direction on a maximum of two days during the event, with generally low wind speeds. The whole period seems to be caught in a south-easterly flow with not much hope of a drastic change.

We will keep you informed on the weather development for the second period, and make early warnings two weeks in advance and a final call one week ahead again.

Equipment transport and shuttle for the upcoming Speed Europeans PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 06 October 2009

Could all intending competitors intending to avail of transport from Dublin airport to Dungarvan and back please indicate this by email to This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it .
1) Use of board transport at cost of €30.00 return – yes or no
2) Use of bus transport at cost of €30.00 return yes or no

Board transport will pass by arrivals area of Dublin Airport at 1500hrs, 1700hrs and 1900hrs – it will also be present in the car park of The Radisson throughout the afternoon until 1845hrs

Coach transfer will be from The Radisson, leaving at 1900hrs – walking distance to airport with option of complementary transfer bus also (separate to event arrangements)

The provision of this service at this price requires 34 users or more so it is vital we have responses by close of business 07/10/09

Return journeys are on 24/10 leaving at 1100hrs unless more than half of the users wish for 1000hrs departure to suit earlier flights.

Spaces are limited to 55 people and it has been indicated that a lot of people are bringing partners and children this year so don’t hold off on confirming your seat.

Whilst we are aware that some people may wish to stay on later, there are many who will be leaving on the 24/10 and therefore will need transport, therefore single way fares are not possible.
