ISWC World Rankings updated PDF Print E-mail
Tuesday, 28 April 2009

After the first two events of the 2009 season (French Open and Belgium Open, both held in the south of France) the rankings have been updated with the latest results.

The world ranking is a "rolling" ranking system which includes all events from the past 12 months. A previous event is deleted as soon as the current years event finishes, or after 12 months latest.

Anders Bringdal gained the most from the participation in both events, as he did not score in 2008, and thus is ranked 2nd in the world now, just behind 2008 World Cup winner Cyril Moussilmani. Valerie Ghibaudo is still leading the womens ranking, with another first place in the French Open event.

The full rankings can be found here: http://www.speedworldcup.com/rankings-2009.html

Mauritius postponed, Karpathos confirmed PDF Print E-mail
Friday, 24 April 2009

Due to organizational problems we need to postpone the Mauritius event until further notice. One of the main issues was, that the national flight company has dramatically reduced their flights and we can not guarantee shipping of all equipment in time.

Karpathos has thus been confirmed now as 2009 one-off world championship. Registration will be opened shortly, please do not book any flights before your starting place is confirmed.

We will also confirm soon the status of the remaining major events, as well as possible additional national events.
