French Cup: Day 6 PDF Print E-mail

Unusual business today at the shores of Plage Napoleon, with a very westerly wind which forced the competitors on a port tack. But - the wind was too light for the deep downwind course, and the speeds of around 32 knots on a 250m course were not enough to validate the race.
Tomorrow is the last chance to see racing action again, but the wind seems to kick in only very early in the morning - lets hope that it lasts for at least one final race !

Nothing newsworthy to report from today, the wind was light and sideshore... but the riders enjoyed a day of with warmer temperatures after the last days excercises. There is a small chance for wind tomorrow, fingers crossed !

Cyril Moussilmani (Fanatic, North) defends the event lead with two bullets today, Pendle and Bordes in second and third. This is the result of todays session, again in good winds and a better angle this time. This resulted in a new spot top speed of 38.19 knots set by Cyril Moussilmani, who took advantage of the better conditions. Unfortunately the water was too rough for even better speeds, but we still have a few days to go.
The womens fleet is still led by Valery Ghibaudo (Loft Sails) ahead of Marion Raisi and Lise Vidal.

Another windy day in Port St. Louis ! Only one leg was completed, as the weather conditions were to cold - in the morning we had snow fall here on the beach ! Cedric Bordes won the heat ahead of Cyril Moussilmani (Fanatic, North) and David Garrel (F2, North).
