isaf.jpgIt is with deep regret ISAF announces that ISAF Vice-President Nucci Novi Ceppellini passed away on Friday 15 February 2008 in Genoa, Italy aged 65 years after a brave fight against cancer. Nucci was committed to the sport of sailing throughout her life, as an active and successful sailor, national race official and in the sport’s management. Nucci’s legacy is immense and her capacity to get things done has touched many areas of the sport.

Clarification about World Sailing Speed Record claims PDF Print E-mail

wssrc.jpgThere have always been unsubstantiated speed record claims, to such an extent that this was the reason for the establishment of the ISAF World Sailing Speed Record rules in the early 1970s. As WSSR rule 1 states " the purpose of these rules is to enable attempts to be made on Sailing Speed Records in any part of the world under comparable conditions".
