Biography
I started surfing in 1979 on windsurfers and later Ten Cate's. Soon we ( me and my parents, of which my father was a fanatic windsurfer too ) started travelling the world for windsurfing and our favourite destination was Tarifa ( first sailed the Levante at the age of 12 with a 2.4 sqm custom made de Jong sail ).
After some very bad experiences in competition ( mainly bureaucracy at one certain brand which I will never sail in my life again ) I stopped competing until 2005, where I decided to join the ISA world cup speed challenge again. After walking the learning curve with new material and some bad luck with my previous sail equipment it looks as if now I'm fully ready for some real competition. In 2007 I took a sabatical year since I started working in the USA but 2008 I will be back for some serious speeds.

Best Results :
Best Dutch amature in 2006 Fuerteventura speed worldcup. GPS however I improved month after month with PB at moment

Sponsors:
Mainly me, myself and my work . However HTS boarderdivision and The Loft sails give me a nice discount for sailing their equipment but to consider this sponsoring ????
